Recent Suggestions Post

It’s been a long half a year for me, since I last updated this blog, back in April. I’ve moved to a new apartment in a new city, and the packing / unpacking was time exhausting. Besides, I even had less and less time to catch up on shows. But rest assured, lately I’ve been trying to catch up, partly with recent shows, and partly with shows I’ve neglected the past year. Therefore, I now present a short post, with some suggestion I think you might like.

All Night (Hulu)

All Night tells the story of several teens graduation party, which takes place during an entire shut-in night at school. With no booze (or is it?), no sleep and no sex, how are a bunch of teenagers supposed to survive this night? Well, for starters, some of them set individuals goals (finding a secret cosplayer girl, revealing true love, leaving the closet, etc). When everything clashes together in an insane funny adventure, all is possible.

Workin’ Moms (Season 2, CBC)

WM_web_S2header

If you thought the first season was provocative and ceiling-breaking, think again. Workin’ Moms second season was even crazier, with story-lines revolving all kinds of obstacles single that working mothers (or fathers) might struggle with. Kate juggles two jobs, Anne finds a surprising neighbor in her new office, Frankie juggles two relationships, Ian juggles his kid and his writing venue, and Val? well, Val is Val, crazy as ever. Worth your time catching up, since the 3rd season is on the way.

Maniac (Netflix)

You’ve probably heard it a couple of times (or more, much more), but if you haven’t watched Maniac already, what are you waiting for? A limited series by Netflix, Maniac tells the story of Annie (Emma Stone) and Owen (Jonah Hill), two people with traumatic past, who enlist to an experimental study, in which their trauma will be explored, and hopefully treated, by advanced mental means. I personally liked the weird technological mix (80’s like computers with present day capabilities), the chemistry between the characters, and the fact that nothing was what it seemed in this series. Stick around after episodes one and two, and you won’t regret it at all.

That’s all for now. Have anything newer / older to contribute? Comment below. I’ll see you soon with new posts.
